Eliokem was born in 2001 but conceived more than 40 years ago when Goodyear Chemical Division set up a polymer plant in the petrochemical complex and port Le Havre, France on the promise of the industrial development of a Europe ready to form the European Community. The company also developed specialty chemicals know-how in its Akron factory in Ohio, USA. Both production sites contributed to the development of Goodyear Chemical “specialties business” that since 2001 belongs to Eliokem.
Eliokem owns a large portfolio of polymers & chemicals (specialty resins, elastomeric modifiers, antioxidants, rubber and rubber reinforcing resins and latices) which are used in a broad range of applications and industries : paints and coatings, electrographic toners, oil field systems, thermoplastic compounds and TPE, rubber and latex compounds, stabilization of polymers and latex, rubber and plastic compounds, dipped tire cord and other textile-to-rubber composites, adhesives and friction materials.
Eliokem is headquartered in Villejust, France (25km outside Paris). The company has five modern manufacturing facilities and five state-of-the art technology centers in France, USA, China (2) and India to ensure customer technical service, product developments and innovation. Eliokem is certified ISO 9001: 2000 for its Quality Management System.
