Chemigum's® elastomeric nature helps in processing and reduction of noise and vibrations during the service life of friction composites such as brake linings, disc pads, clutch facings, etc. Chemigum® elastomers also improve performance by increasing coefficient of friction, anti-fading properties and toughness.

In processing, Chemigum® elastomer improve the wetting of fibers and fillers during compounding, shorten mixing cycle and enhance the flow of the compounds during the molding or extrusion operations.

In wet and semi-wet processes, dissolution time is considerably reduced by the use of powdered elastomers compared with bale form.

Ready to use and easy to disperse for a fast mixing cycle, Chemigum® elastomers act as secondary binder for fibers and additives, increasing the cohesion (green strength) of the uncured compounds. Thereby making it easier to control the handling and processing steps.
