In blends with plastics, Chemigum® and Sunigum® elastomers are available for a wide variety of applications in the building industry providing both functional performance and design flexibility.

PVC
 

 
In blends with plasticized PVC, these polymers become thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs) for both static and dynamic window gaskets. They can be easily coextruded on rigid PVC window profiles for both pivoted and sliding windows.

The Sunigum® based TPEs allow production of white and light color seals and have the key benefit of ultra-violet stability. Black and dark colored weatherseals can be made from Chemigum® based TPEs.

Key benefits of Chemigum® or Sunigum® based TPEs are low compression-set, attractive appearance, high speed extrusion of delicate shapes, co-extrudability with rigid PVC and low plasticizer migration.




NON-PVC


  
Injection molded parts or overmoldings on rigid substrates are also achieved with Sunigum® elastomer in blends with ASA, COPE or TPU resins. Sunigum® in these blends provides lower hardness, UV resistance, low gloss and soft-touch properties.
